While pursuing my PhD, I completed the Graduate Certificate in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies (2019) at Boston University, taught regularly, and engaged in service to the department, university, and profession. My dissertation, "Towards a Contractualist Theory of Transitional Justice," was defended on 1 July, 2022.

Before my turn towards social and political philosophy more generally, I spent much of my M.A. studying 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, with particular attention to the work of Arthur Schopenhauer. My masters thesis, "The Artist as Sacrificial in Schopenhauer's Philosophy," was advised by Dr. Daniel O. Dahlstrom and Dr. C. Allen Speight of Boston University.
