While pursuing my PhD, I also completed the Graduate Certificate in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies (2019) at Boston University. My dissertation, "Towards a Contractualist Theory of Transitional Justice," was defended in July 2022 under the supervision of Daniel Dahlstrom (Boston University), Susanne Sreedhar (Boston University), and Colleen Murphy (University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign).
Before my turn towards social and political philosophy more generally, I spent much of my M.A. studying 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, with particular attention to the work of Arthur Schopenhauer. My masters thesis, "The Artist as Sacrificial in Schopenhauer's Philosophy," was advised by Daniel Dahlstrom (Boston University) and C. Allen Speight (Boston University).
